| | Greg & Mary Kay Wilson
I (Mary Kay) was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, the middle of three kids. My parents took us faithfully to a small, Episcopal church every Sunday, but it wasn’t until I went away for college that I made a more informed and intentional decision to follow Jesus. During my freshman year, I was in a bible study for the first time in my life, and I also experienced a community of faith through the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship group on campus. I was so impacted by God through that campus fellowship that I decided to join the staff when I graduated. Beginning first with the undergraduate fellowship, I later worked with the graduate students, finally supervising campus works throughout colleges and universities in Northern California.
I met Greg when he came to school as a graduate student. He hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the second of five brothers. He made a decision to follow Jesus at a Leighton Ford rally when he was in the 3rd grade. Greg and I got married in 1990; he finished his doctoral work in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1992, and during the next few years, we added two girls to our family unit. We moved to Montana in 1996, had one more girl in 1997, and found God leading us to the Christian Center.
Greg is a design and research engineer at Applied Materials when he’s not out fly fishing or hiking. Vintage bamboo fly rods have become a passion of his lately, so he can often be found practicing his casting at the Conrad Mansion or the Activity Center, depending on the time of year. He has gifts in helps, discernment, and giving, and he enjoys helping out with the Middle School Wednesday night Impact gathering. He also takes his responsibility as a Bible Quiz coach very seriously. He is a great dad, husband, and provider for us.
I am excited to be part of the Pastoral Team at Christian Center, bringing creativity to our Sunday services, and giving leadership to Small Groups. My gifts in teaching, leadership, and creative communication come into play as I exercise various ministry opportunities around here.
I enjoy my monthly reading group, riding my horse, skiing on Big Mountain, attending live theater, cheering at soccer games and playing street hockey. As a family we try to hike, cross-country ski, eat dinner together and stay friends on Facebook.
